Lapis, Seaview Rooms

Aquamarine and Lapis are both on the top floors of their respective buildings, commanding magnificent views; Aquamarine is in the first building, closer to the sea, while Lapis is in the second building. There are three more Sea View rooms in the second building: Ivory is on the top floor on the left as you look from the sea; Onyx is on the top floor on the right; Diamond is on the first floor on the right. Diamond is a large room with a seating area and a free standing bath. All Sea View rooms have beautiful terraces with cushioned rattan chairs. Though Sea View rooms do not have their own private plunge pools, do not be surprised you may have almost sole use of the delightful infinity pool, since your fellow residents will be using their own.

Décor and accommodation

All rooms at The Peninsula Gardens are decorated to a very high standard. They feature huge King-sized beds, which can be separated into capacious single beds if required.

Even the poolside décor has been carefully considered. The decks and terraces have juniper trees, whose sweet, pine-like aroma is enhanced by the splashes of water from the pools. Juniper is widely used in aromatherapy and has a long tradition of use in healing and meditation.

There are large plasma TVs in every room, with DVD players, and satellite reception offering channels in multiple languages. You have tea and coffee making facilities, and the finest Molton Brown toiletries. Room service is available between 8 am and midnight, allowing you to enjoy selections from the hotel’s excellent menus in the privacy and comfort of your balcony or terrace; local charges apply. Guests can also enjoy turn down service as well as a pillow menu.

But by far the most stunning feature of each room – apart from the views – is the large inset mural of pure onyx, which glows serenely in the setting sun. The onyx motif is continued with the floor lights set around the king-sized beds. After dark, turn off all the lights except these onyx lamps; the light is warm, magical and romantic. Every room also has an iPod docking station and there is free WiFi access throughout the hotel.

Dining and relaxation

The restaurant and bar at The Peninsula Gardens have lovely views of the sea and the islands. The hotel has rapidly become renowned for the quality and variety of its cuisine.

There is a substantial indoor pool measuring 25m x 5m, a Turkish bath, a steam room, sauna and massage rooms, as well as a small fitness suite. The outdoor pool has intermittent wave effects, dding a dimension of fun to the magic of its infinity design.

You can also stretch out with some invigorating yoga and pilates, courtesy of Elixir’s representative at the hotel. One to one sessions can be arranged in the privacy of your own terrace and a local charge applies. Down by the sea, the wooden decks are thoughtfully set on different levels to give you more privacy as you bask.

Seafront Cabanas – available for daily private hire

e have 2 cabanas at the waterfront for daily hire, with private butlers. Each Cabana has an iPod docking station, a minibar stocked with juices and soft drinks (local charges apply), a digital safe and a laptop with WiFi access. Complimentary fruit platter, Iced tea/coffee will be served. And there is a call button for butler service.

Note: The Peninsula Gardens cannot accept bookings for children under the age of 14.

Out and about

If you can bring yourself to leave the cool comfort of your room to explore the surroundings, book the hotel’s private goulette for the day. There are few more essentially Turkish experiences than a sun-soaked cruise along the historic Lycian coast.

There is a complimentary shuttle into Kas, a journey of less than 5 minutes. The last shuttle leaves the hotel at 7.30 pm and returns from the village at 10.30 pm – ideal for those who wish to dine out. And if you want to linger longer to enjoy late night shopping and the live soul and jazz bars of Kas, the taxis home are not expensive. You might even prefer to walk to the village from the hotel. It takes about 50 minutes and the views along the peninsula are lovely.

The Peninsula Gardens may be a newcomer to the Mediterranean, but it has immediately become a coveted landmark among many splendid destinations. We are proud to welcome it to the Elixir Turkish Collection.

Peninsula Villas

For couples or family groups, the six Peninsula Villas close to the hotel provide the privacy and freedom of self-catering accommodation with all the facilities of a luxury boutique hotel. The concept is a simple one, create a hub – in this case the hotel – surround it well equipped eye-catching villas and you can enjoy the best of both worlds: book the freedom in Peninsula Villas each with its own dazzling infinity pool, and receive your fresh daily delivery of bread and milk, use the hotel’s facilities (no children under 14 allowed) as well as relax in the hotel’s beautiful spa (book that well overdue treatment you had no time for back at home).

All Elixir villas on the Kas peninsula are offered on a fully self-catered basis, as you would expect, however, self-catering with Elixir still means an easier life than at home. Villa guests on the Kas peninsula will have:

  • Complimentary daily delivery of fresh bread and milk
  • Grocery ordering service – that means you can order what you want for the next day’s meals and have it delivered with the daily bread and milk
  • Complimentary shuttle service into Kas
  • Complimentary Pilates and Yoga
  • Complimentary hamper on arrival.
